چکیده

The effective operation of certain electronic, medical, industrial, and testing equipment relies on high-quality focusing imaging capability, which also plays a vital role in the field wave physics. Therefore, continuously improving resolution capacity is essential. However, homogeneous medium dominated by diffraction limit, best for could only reach half wavelength corresponding to lowest operating frequency, significantly hindering relevant application value. development phononic crystals (PCs) acoustic metamaterials (AMMs) has realized sub-wavelength super-resolution attracted increasing research attention physics, mechanics, engineering, biomedical science. This Tutorial explained basic principles traditional methods imaging. Then, implementation related progress based artificial devices, including but not limited PCs AMMs, were systematically discussed. Moreover, method was introduced realize or sub-diffraction integrating these devices into time-reversal procedure. Finally, potential trends practical prospects presented.

Negative Refraction of Acoustic Waves in a Two-Dimensional Phononic Crystal via FDTD Simulation

Negative refraction of acoustic waves in a two-dimensional (2D) phononic crystal is studied by numerical simulation based on the finitedifference time-domain (FDTD) method. We calculate the phonon band structure of 2D phononic crystals, consisting of metal cylinders placed periodically in a liquid. By comparing several combinations of materials for metal cylinder and liquid, we analyze the depe...

Tunable active acoustic metamaterials

We describe and demonstrate an architecture for active acoustic metamaterials whose effective material parameters can be tuned independently over a wide range of values, including negative material parameters. The approach is demonstrated experimentally through the design and measurement of two types of unit cells that generate metamaterials in which either the effective density or bulk modulus...
